Who runs this site

Bandact is operated by Alex Denne. Privacy questions: alexdenne@gmail.com.

What stays on your device

• Your saved bands, event details, planned sets and message drafts are kept in your browser's local storage so your plan survives a refresh. They are not sent to Bandact.
• A short record of listening and saving actions is kept in your browser's session storage for this visit.
• Your analytics choice is kept in local storage.

Analytics

Nothing is measured until you choose Accept analytics. If you accept, Bandact uses Google Analytics to count page views and a few actions: playing a performance, saving or removing a band, preparing or copying an enquiry, and opening a band's own contact page.

• Sent: the page address without its query string, the page title, the band's public profile name in the web address, and the kind of action.
• Never sent: your message text, your event details, dates, budgets, postcode, or any band contact details.
• Advertising features, ad personalisation and Google signals are off.

You can change your choice at any time with Analytics choice in the footer. Rejecting stops measurement and removes Google Analytics cookies set by this site.

Enquiries

Bandact does not send messages for you. You copy your enquiry and send it yourself on the band's own website or public page.

Band information

Profiles use public, band-controlled sources where possible. Private phone numbers are not shown. Bands can ask for corrections at alexdenne@gmail.com.

Media

Performance videos are embedded from YouTube only after you press play. YouTube's own terms and privacy policy apply to embedded videos.

Content loaded from other sites

Pages load their web fonts from Google Fonts, video thumbnails from YouTube's image server, and band photos from the public web pages they were published on, such as a band's own website. Your browser contacts those servers when a page opens, before any analytics choice, and they receive your IP address and browser details as any website would.
